The Lumbar Spine
*The Lumbar Spine*
This lower region of the spine is where there is a slight curvature in the spine, tiltiing towards the lower abdomen.
Situated approximately 5-6 inches under the shoulder blades it adjoins the thorax spine all the way to the sacral spine.
The lumbar spine (lower spine) is a common area for individuals to suffer stress and pain. Some common causes of this discomfort include lumbar strain, nerve irritation, lumbar radiculopathy, bony encroachment, and conditions of the bone and joints. … in fact, Lumbar strain is considered one of the most common causes of low back pain. It is also quite common for injury to occur as a result of overuse, improper use, or trauma.
That being said, there are other causes of lower back pain.
Some of these causes of lower black pain include kidney problems, pregnancy, ovary problems, and tumors. If you suffer from lower back pain, check out our instagram where we will provide several stretches to help relieve stress on this lower region of the spine. 💛
